Standard work for making German straw stars with the help of placement rings (moulds/molds)
The book describes step-by-step how straw stars (like straw snow crystals) are made and tied. It strictly follows the didactic principle from simple to difficult projects. It illustrates working with the 12-space placement rings (4,2 and 5,5cm diameter) with hight adjustable clamp rings and the 6-strand straw splitter as well as several tying techniques (embroidery needle).
In addition we describe the making of traditional 12-pointed “ray stars” and other traditional, tied straw stars like bow stars and fan stars.
Of course the principles described in this booklet can easily be transferred to our other placement rings (6-space, 8-space, 16-space and 24-space) although there are special booklets for each of those (in German).
